I Jacob Vandersteen will to my wife Ann Vandersteen I make her whole and sole Executor of all my Houses Goods Money and Chattels during her Life after her Death this Dwelling House to be divided between Bartholomew Vandersteen and Mary Ann Rea the lower rooms and half the Shop for Bartholomew Vandersteen the Remainder of the House for May Ann Rea during their lives after Bartholomew decease to come to my Grand Children Charlott Rea and Ann Rea after Mary Ann Rea decease to come to Elizabeth Vandersteen and her Heirs repairs and Taxes to be equally divided between Bartholomew Vandersteen and Mary Ann Rea the two Houses over the way nigh opposite after my wife's death I will to Jacob Vandersteen and Sarah Needham the Lower Rooms and half the Shop for Jacob Vandersteen the remainder for Sarah Needham them and their Heirs the other House for Ann Burdett and Elizabeth Vandersteen at the death of Mary Rea the whole House to be for Ann Burdett and her heirs I acknowledge this to be my last Will and Testament int the presence of us The Mark X Jacb Vandersteen weaver in Silver Street Bethnal Green Sealed and Signed in the presence of here undermentioned Witnesses Hannah Dibble - Edward Quiddington - Thom Burdett his Mark M.

This will was proved at London the twelfth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty seven before the Worshipful George Harris Doctor of Laws Surrogate of the Right Worshipful Peter Calvert Doctor of Laws Master Keeper ?? Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the Oath of Ann Vandersteen widow the Relict of the Deceased and the Sole Executrix named in the said Will to whom Administration was granted of all and singular the Good Chattels and Credits of the said deceased having been fist Sworn duly to Administer.

Being In Health Do Make this my Last Will and testament as followeth I Give to my Eldest Son Jacob Vandersteen one Shilling of Lawful Money and I give to My Wife Mary Vandersteen all My Goods and Chattels and Money belonging to me and Likewise my Lease holds of Land and Cottages and two other cottages In Whites Grounds and Every thing that I Poses In Witness Whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and Seal

The Last Will and Testament of Mary Vandersteen widow of Bethnal Green Road in the Parish of St Matthew Bethnal Green in the county of Middlesex. I Mary Vandersteen being of sound mind and memory do make and declare this to be my last will and testament in manner following that is to say after my just debts funeral expenses and charge of proving this my will in the firtst part be fully paid and satisfied and after payment thereof I give and bequeath to Henrietta Vandersteen wife of my son William Vandersteen of Bethnal Green Road weaver the sum of one hundred and eighty pounds New Three and half per cents standing in my name in the Bank of England and one leasehold house situated in Seabright Street, Bethnal Green Road let to Mr ?? and also out of my cottages in Whites Grounds the whole of which the aforesaid property I give to her for her whole sole use and purpose independent of her present or any future husband. I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary Jewitt the sum of two hundred pounds New three and half per cents standing in my account in the Bank of England and one leasehold house situated in Squirries Street, Bethnal Green Road let to Mr Nelson and also out of my cottages in Whites Grounds let to Mrs ?? the whole of which property I give to her for her whole sole use and purpose independent of her present or future husband and I will that her decease the house in Squirries Street shall go to her eldest son John Moore carpenter of Bethnal Green Road and in case she should die before me the whole of this bequest which I will to her shall be equally divided between her husband and her children born of her body only and I give and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth Ivory wife of Sage Ivory two hundred and thirty pounds New three and half per cents standing in my account in the Bank of England and one leasehold house situated in Princes Court Bethnal Green let to Mr West and also out of my Cottages in Whites Grounds let to Mr Wilman I give and bequeath to my grandson John Moore carpenter of Bethnal Green Road fifty pounds I give and bequeath to my grandson Samuel Moore five pounds I give and bequeath to my grandson James Moore, I give and bequeath to my granddaughter Elizabeth Shepherd five pounds, I give and bequeath to my granddaughter Isabella Turner five pounds and I hereby appoint my son William Vandersteen and my son in law Sage Ivory Executors of this my last will and testament and I give and bequeath to each of them the sum of five pounds and I will and bequeath that all my household furniture wearing apparel and any other Property I may be possessed of at my decease not heretofore named shall be equally divided between two daughters and my daughter in law Henrietta Vanderstein and I hereby revoke and make void all former wills by me at any time made and declare this to be my last will and testament in witness whereof I the said Testator do this day set my hand and seal.
